Snack Ideas
Raise your hand if you’re a snacker. Ok, we all are right? There’s so much time in between meals our bodies need food in between them. Though what can be concerning is snacking unhealthily and eating snacks that don’t fill us up, leading us to ear out of moderation. Here is a list of my favorite snacks that fill me up and take a second to make!

Hummus + veggies
It can be hard to eat our veggies but this snack makes it easy. Homemade hummus is always fun and a smart choice, but even store-bought hummus with vegetables of your choosing will typically fill you up for a little. My favorite veggies to dip in hummus are carrots, cucumbers, and celery.
2. Greek yogurt + berries + granola
Nowadays, dairy makes my stomach upset, but if this isn’t the case for you this is a great source of calcium, probiotics, antioxidants, vitamins, fiber, and more. I loved this snack because I’m a sweet tooth so this ceased my cravings, all in a healthy way.
3. Kale chips
A lot of people find kale gross but I’d beg to differ. I remember my friend’s mom in elementary school gave this to us as an after-school snack, and I’ve been hooked ever since. This is a super easy recipe. You take one cup of kale and mix it in a bowl with a tablespoon of oil and add a pinch of salt. Spread it on a baking sheet and bake for around 8 minutes in a preheated 350-degree oven. Trust me you’ll forget about potato chips after you try this.
4. Apples and peanut butter
This is a great source of whole carbs, healthy fat, and protein. This dynamic duo tastes great too. Cut up an apple and dip with some peanut or almond butter.
5. Hard-boiled egg
This snack may sound kinda weird and may not be a popular snack choice, but it’s a smart one. Eggs are a great source of high-quality protein and other vitamins. You can leave hard-boiled eggs in the fridge for around a week. So, grabbing one on the go will keep you full. Just make you chew some gum after you enjoy it!
